The Porsche 911 Dakar, unveiled at the end of 2022, is a special, limited-edition version of the 911 designed to celebrate the brand's history in rally-raid racing. Its name is a direct reference to the victory of the Porsche 953 (a modified 911) in the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally, the brand's first official participation in this legendary event.
This model therefore pays homage to Porsche's off-track exploits, reminding us that the 911 has not only excelled in endurance and GT racing, but also in extreme conditions. The 911 Dakar captures this adventurous spirit, transposing the versatility and robustness of Porsche rally cars into a modern road car.
